What do you do when you are driving down the road and come across a flock of vultures in the middle of the road eating a snake? Well if you are me you take out your camera and take pictures! There were a bunch of these birds, and they are huge! They were in no hurry to get out of the road. There are only three in the picture, but there were 5 or 6 of them to the right of this shot.
We see these birds a lot around here. It amazes me how quickly the carcass they are working on disappears. Weather it is a dear or a snake they take it down to nothing fast. Between them and the meat bees. Its the circle of life!
Each day I am going to attempt to upload a photo to this space, and write about it. My purpose is twofold; to improve my photography skills and to improve my writing. As an educator I believe that I should practice what I preach. I ask my students to constantly improve their work and to reflect on it regularly, so why shouldn't I. Doing so in a public place holds me a little more accountable for doing it.
